On the 25th March , I had the incredible honour of being one of the 41 Freemen Entrepreneurs to be clothed as a Liveryman Entrepreneur – the very first group to do so since our Company was granted full Livery status as the 112th Worshipful company in the City of London.
The ceremony took place at the stunning Drapers’ Hall – steeped in history and tradition – where each of us were formally robed and welcomed into the Livery.
We were fortunate to hear from our Master James Talbot, followed by Senior Warden, Alderman and Sheriff, The Rt Hon, The Lord Mayor Alastair King , who spoke about entrepreneurship, service, and civic responsibility – the values that sit at the core of the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs.
Congratulations to current Master James Talbot to complete this on his watch, the Immediate Past Master Mark Huxley and Stephen Wheatley, Chair of the fund raising committee who I worked with as part of the committee to get us over the line plus all those who have worked so hard to help the Company reach this incredible milestone. It’s a privilege to be part of this journey – one built on fellowship, impact, and purpose.
We followed the ceremony with a celebratory Spring Lunch at the Reform Cub on Pall Mall where the Lady Mayoress, Mrs Florence King gave a great speech followed by fellow Liveryman Belinda Black, guiding us through her entrepreneurial journey.
